Justin R. Wilmers

Justin R. Wilmers is the co-founder of Miller Wilmers, APC and former collegiate ice hockey national champion. He has made a career defending businesses and corporations in many arenas of civil litigation including commercial transportation accidents, premises liability, general liability matters and toxic exposure cases. Prior to becoming an attorney, Justin worked for a high profile real estate developer in Beverly Hills, Century City, Malibu and Pacific Palisades where he cut his teeth in the real estate industry. Thus, in his first year as an attorney, he gained invaluable experience representing a select clientele of real estate investors and developers in various business disputes including breach of contract, wrongful foreclosure, landlord-tenant disputes, non-disclosure, breach of fiduciary duty and fraud cases.
Mr. Wilmers obtained his bachelor's degree in political science from UCLA, where as a California Regents Scholar, he graduated cum laude with college honors. As a true double Bruin, Justin then went on to earn his J.D. from UCLA School of Law where he participated in mock trial and was a member of both the Law and Entrepreneurship Society and the Tax and Estate Planning Association.
While attending UCLA School of Law, Mr. Wilmers interned at the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office in the Major Crimes Division as well as the Preliminary Hearing Unit. There he gained experience in litigating high-profile, complex cases while also learning to efficiently manage a high-volume caseload daily. As a certified law clerk, Justin had a jump on the competition appearing on the record before even graduating and passing the bar - this was the beginning of Justin's passion for the courtroom.
Mr. Wilmers prides himself on his creative problem-solving skills and out of the box thinking that leads to early resolution of lawsuits. Nevertheless, his vast experience in the courtroom allows him to effectively take cases to trial when necessary.
